How CircularThread protects plant data — from ISO-certified hosting and encryption through EU privacy controls.
Secure hosting
CircularThread is hosted in Hetzner Online GmbH facilities. Hetzner is ISO/IEC 27001 certified for information security management across its data centers in Nuremberg, Falkenstein, and Helsinki.
Independent audits confirm that Hetzner meets the requirements of ISO/IEC 27001 for the scope of colocation, dedicated servers, cloud, and storage services — so plant data sits on infrastructure built for continuous security controls.
Data encryption
Application data and metadata are encrypted in transit and at rest. Connections use TLS 1.2 or newer. Stored data is protected with AES-256, with unique keys per deployment and a rotating master key so exposure of a single key cannot unlock the full archive.
Data protection and privacy
CircularThread is operated with data-protection laws that apply to EU manufacturing customers in mind, including the EU GDPR and Spain’s LOPDGDD. Access is role-based, sessions are signed, and plant records stay under the tenant’s control.
